Prepare The Perfect Job Application
In to day’s society, finding and keeping a great job can be a daunting task. With the economy not looking too promising and unemployment on the rise, employers are really taking their time to make sure they hire employees that are perfect fit for their company. Employers don’t have the time or resources to hire people and train them only to find out they won’t last more than a month or two or don’t have the necessary skill set to perform the required duties. What this means for you, the job applicant, is that you have to be able to prepare your job application so that you stand out from the crowd and show your potential employer that you mean business Let’s take a look at what a standard job application wants from you and the best way to prepare it.
Every job application starts off with the personal information section. This is pretty straightforward and you will probably just need to list your name, social security number, home address, home phone, and cell phone numbers. You will want to be absolutely sure all of your information is up to date and spelled properly.
Education Background
This is a common section on most applications and should not be skipped even if you have the option to do so. Some applications will ask for college information but you may need to provide information about high schools you have attended as well. You may need to find out the physical address of your college or high school beforehand so you don’t leave any blank spaces in this section. If it asks about your area of study for high school, don’t put something you consider witty, just put “General Education”. For area of study in the college area, put in your major or what your major will be next semester. Do not “bend the truth” in this section as some employers will call your schools to find out your GPA.
